Ogier named best offshore law firm at private equity awards

Friday 01 April 2022

Offshore law firm Ogier has been named ‘Best Law Firm – Fund Domicile’ at the Private Equity Wire European Awards 2022.

The awards recognise excellence among service providers in Europe's private equity industry and voting is conducted via an online poll of the publication's readers.

This year, more than 20,000 votes were cast in total, and the winners were announced at a gala event in London on Thursday 24 March.

"We are delighted to receive this recognition from Private Equity Wire. This award is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our Private Equity team, which continues to grow, innovate and offer outstanding client service," said partner Richard Daggett from Ogier's Private Equity team in Europe.

"Approaching private equity holistically has been instrumental in our firm's growth in the sector. With more than 100 multi-disciplinary professionals in our global team, understanding how the private equity life cycle operates as a whole, and where our service lines interact with that life cycle, has resulted in a stronger, co-ordinated offering."

Ogier has a unique global footprint that includes the five leading centres for private equity: BVI, Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey and Luxembourg.

Its industry-leading partners, legal teams and corporate administration service provide a full-service offering to private equity sponsors, their advisers and intermediary law firms, advising on a wide spectrum of fund structures and their particular regulatory and commercial approaches.

Ogier regularly advises the world's largest private equity firms and has been involved in some of the most noteworthy private equity deals completed in its jurisdictions, including Gazit Globe's recent €1.45 billion acquisition of Atrium European Real Estate Limited.
