New Islands Director for Lloyds

Thursday 13 July 2023

Lloyds Bank International has appointed Adele Bohlen (pictured) as its new Islands Director to oversee operations in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

With more than 30 years’ banking experience, Ms Bohlen will take on her new role in October, replacing Alasdair Gardner, who is leaving his post as Islands Director, having led the business for nearly four years.

Ms Bohlen is currently based in the Isle of Man, but will relocate back to Jersey, where she has lived previously.

“Lloyds Bank International is such an exciting business to be joining," she said. "Not only is it a business spanning multiple islands, but it has such incredible breadth, providing communities with their personal banking needs, helping businesses to start up and grow, and serving private and expatriate banking customers too. I’m looking forward to joining later this year and working with the team to support all our customers across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.”

Carla Antunes da Silva, CEO, Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets, welcomed her appointment, which is subject to regulatory approval.

“I am delighted to bring someone of Adele’s calibre into Lloyds Bank International. Her deep banking experience, across retail banking, private banking and fiduciary services, and her passion will be invaluable as we continue to grow our business in the years ahead. Adele takes over the reins from Alasdair, who has done a sterling job over the last four years and I would like to thank him for his support and for the contribution he has made during his time running the Islands business.”
