Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries has appointed Simon Murphy (pictured) as an Associate Director in the firm’s Guernsey office.

He will be working closely with the private client service teams to assist in providing tailored wealth structuring solutions for ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals and families across a range of key jurisdictions. His role will also extend to business development.

Nick Batiste, Managing Director of Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries, said he "brings a wealth of valuable experience and expertise to Saffery, which will complement the depth and breadth of skills within the team.

“Simon joins at an exciting time for the business, with the recent addition of our Cayman office, the growth of our Digital Asset and Cryptocurrency team and with the launch of our Green and Corporate Social Responsibility teams.

“At Saffery we have an ethos of recruiting not only highly qualified team members, but professionals who also reflect the values of the firm. Both personally and professionally, Simon demonstrates enthusiasm, integrity, excellence, and teamwork and is a welcome addition to our team.”

Mr Murphy said "when considering prospective career opportunities, Saffery Champness was at the top of my list, and I am delighted to join the team.

"The firm’s heritage, consistent delivery of the highest levels of client service and “people first” ethos is a story well worth telling and I am looking forward to sharing it with our wider network of intermediaries and clients.”

Currently studying for the Chartered Institute for the Securities and Investment (CISI) Investment Advice Diploma, Mr Murphy has a keen interest in investments, with substantial technical knowledge and experience working in partnership with investment managers. Outside of the office, he is the Athletics Co-Coordinator for the 2023 Islands Games to be held in Guernsey this summer and has a long sporting history in the island.
