Livingroom launches open viewings in Guernsey

Friday 19 July 2019

Livingroom Estate Agents is to host regular open viewings of its properties in the first initiative of its kind in Guernsey.

Open viewings involve inviting prospective buyers to visit a dedicated property during a set time period without prior arrangement, allowing simultaneous multiple viewings while Livingroom’s property experts are on-site.

The estate agency will host open viewings every Saturday, to coincide with the free time of many potential buyers.

Simon Torode, Livingroom Founder, CEO, explained why the agency has taken this step: “Open viewings have never really been done in Guernsey and certainly not with the regularity and resource that we’re dedicating to the initiative.

“We pride ourselves on marketing properties in innovative and effective ways and open viewings are another way to connect with the public. We know from the experience in our Jersey office and since bringing in expertise from Australia, where open viewings are common, that the concept works and we’re confident it’ll work in Guernsey too.”

The first open viewings will take place this Saturday, 20 July, and there will be a dedicated area on Livingroom’s website and social media posts where people can learn about upcoming viewings.

“Customer service and creativity are at the heart of Livingroom and we hope that open viewings will give people another option for exploring some of the island’s finest properties and speaking to members of our expert team,” said Simon.

“We wanted to be the first to introduce open viewings in Guernsey and give people the chance to view properties in an informal way.”
