Female Potential to be unlocked...

Thursday 19 April 2018

A new initiative to help women "unlock their potential" has launched this week - with a positive response, as 'Launch Party' tickets were snapped up within the first hour of release.

Female Potential is the new initiative from the Women’s Development Forum Founder Michelle Johansen, who described it as a new offer specifically designed to help all women "unlock more of their potential.”

“Our launch party will be held at Catherine Best on 2 May. We decided rather than send out invitations we would open attendance to those who had signed up to our newsletter on a first-come-first served basis. I have been blown away by the response,” said Michelle Johansen

“I’ve spent much of the last 10 years working on my own personal development. Launching Female Potential is an opportunity for me to pass on what I have learned from both my years in the corporate world and all my training and experience in more alternative practices such as mindfulness and voice dialogue. Finally bringing this altogether in one package is very exciting for me.”

As a Professional Certified Coach, Ms Johansen said in her experience One-to-One coaching is often too expensive for many people to access. So one of the new concepts she has trialled over the last two years is something she is calling “Development Pods”, where women come together to work on a specific subject areas in groups of six to eight over a number of sessions; thereby sharing the cost of working with a professional coach with the added benefit of peer group support.

Female Potential has also launched a free Podcast service, which is available to everyone via the Podcast App on your phone.

The first three episodes are live on the App and cover:

  • Female Potential – Ethos, Ideas and Ambition
  • Dancing with the Moon: A Spiritual Journey through IVF with local author Emma Despres

  • Afraid to Speak Up? #MeToo with local lawyer Rachel New episodes will be released monthly
