The Medical Specialist Group has added Dr Collin Royed to its paediatrics team.
Dr Royed brings with him a “wealth of experience” to the island, having spent more than 12 years as a consultant paediatrician at Kettering General Hospital in the UK.
During his time in the UK, Dr Royed specialised in renal paediatrics and high dependency care for children. He was also a guest lecturer at the University of Northampton, sharing his knowledge with future healthcare professionals.
Dr Royed is a certified advanced paediatric life support instructor and a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and says he's looking forward to making an impact.
"What I love about this job is getting children better quickly so that they get back to their cheeky selves. I'm looking forward to using my experience to benefit the health of children and young people in Guernsey."
Dr Steve Evans, Chair of the MSG, expressed his enthusiasm about Dr Royed's appointment.
"Collin will undoubtedly provide excellent care for our young patients," he said. "His dedication to paediatrics is evident in his previous work, be it with direct patient care or research and education. We are very lucky to have him on our team."
