Anyone wanting to apply for a place on The Discover Digital Summer Internship Program has to do so today.
The program offers summer employment to post-16 students who are passionate about digital and want to work with some of the island’s leading employers on their digital projects.
It is run by the Digital Greenhouse and offers a six-week placement for Guernsey students who are keen to work in the Digital Sector. It is open to all post-16 students, currently in full time education, who have shown a passion for and experience in digital, which can include gaming, video, programming, website building, robotics, social media, digital arts, etc.
Successful candidates will be employed by local companies who require digital skills to work on a range of projects. The businesses involved include KPMG, Healthspan, PwC, Sure, FCG, JT, Specsavers, C5 Alliance, The Potting Shed and the States of Guernsey so far.
The program runs over five weeks from 16 July - 24 August with two pathways either working with one company or for multiple.
Students will be paid for their full-time work, with a final presentation to be held at the end of August. There is no guaranteed job offered at the end of the internship.
