The School of Popular Music is launching a new Battle of the Bands, but with a corporate twist - they want businesses to enter their musical employees - with all abilities welcome.
So long as 50% of the band is made up of employees, all businesses are welcome to enter the fun competition, which is being staged in September.
Tyler Edmonds, the frontman of SOPM and a musician himself who performs with bands including Last of the Light Brigade, said it doesn't matter how experienced you are, they want to hear your talent.
"Whether you are a fully fledged local musician or just belting out your favourite hits in shower, we are looking for the best workplace band in Guernsey! Could it be your organisation?"
To enter the competition, which will be held at Beau Sejour on 4 September, the band needs to be made up of at least 50% of employees from your organisation, with a minimum of three members per band. Band members will need their own instruments but SOPM, supported by Bailiwick Express as media partner, will provide everything else.
SOPM will give each organisation entering six weeks of band mentoring, with times and location to be arranged with a tutor on a case by case basis. Each band will be aiming to have a setlist of three songs for the show.
A music video and tickets to the show for colleagues and others to watch are included in the entry fee.
