We've switched all our imported electricity to be generated from renewable sources.

Your flow of electricity hasn't altered, but the energy source has.

In January, we switched all our imported electricity to be generated from renewable sources, such as hydropower, solar and wind.

We’ve made this bold decision to meet the island's electricity needs with more sustainable energy sources, clean natural energy that comes at less cost to the earth, to help our island become greener.

A cleaner approach for our future generations

Delivering more sustainable, greener energy makes sense for our planet and is something all of Guernsey can be proud of.

We believe in renewables for all so even if you live in a flat and don't have a roof for solar panels, you can still charge your phone and boil the kettle using electricity that is better for our environment.

Plugging into renewables is just the start

We're planning for the future, leading change that will become part of the global solution. This is a journey that involves all of us. This is the first step - we want to empower every islander to join in.
