Leading offshore law firm Appleby has welcomed Advocate Dylan Latimer and Tristan Ozanne as Partner and Group Partner in the Guernsey office, further expanding the Group’s presence and expertise on the island.
Mr Latimer has considerable expertise in a wide range of corporate, banking and investment fund matters. He specialises in banking and finance (including real estate finance, fund finance and security enforcement), M&A and investment funds. He also advises on insurance matters including captives and reinsurance structures.
Mr Ozanne has a broad and in-depth experience of all corporate and commercial, banking and finance and regulatory work, gained through more than 20 years of offshore practice. He has particular expertise in corporate acquisitions and corporate advisory, together with fund finance and real estate finance. Tristan frequently advises on regulatory matters across all supervisory laws pertaining to collective investment funds and licensees.
Both were recently named 'Next Generation Partners' by Legal 500 in their 2025 UK directory: Mr Latimer in 'Banking and Finance' and Mr Ozanne in both 'Corporate and Commercial' and 'Banking and Finance' practice areas. Mr Ozanne was also recognised as an 'Up and Coming Practitioner' by Chambers and Partners in their 2025 UK directory in 'Corporate and Finance including Investment Funds' practice area.
Mr Latimer qualified as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey in 2023. He was admitted as a solicitor in the Republic of Ireland in 2007 and as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2010. He trained at Maples and Calder in Dublin. He has been practising in Guernsey since 2012. Dylan is an adjunct lecturer on the Guernsey Bar course.
Mr Ozanne qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2007. He attended Exeter University to gain his LLB and Nottingham University for his LPC.
