Maya Le Tissier’s positive start as Manchester United Women captain has continued.
Her side have played four, won four and kept four clean sheets, across all competitions, the latest a 3-0 win against Tottenham in the WSL.
And she capped that result by stepping up to score the third from the penalty spot.
“It’s such a pleasure to play in this team, I think you see how together we all are,” she said.
“Even getting the clean sheets is not just the back line, it’s all the team. We’re really working for each other.”
The result means United are third, level on points with second placed Chelsea. Manchester City Women top the table with 10 points, but having played one game more.
Norwegian striker Elisabeth Terland scored United's opening two goals in the closing stages of the first half, before Le Tissier’s effort on 59 minutes.
