Guernsey Raiders suffered a torrid night under the lights at Footes Lane.

Bury St Edmunds ran out 40-10 winners, having taken the game away from the homeside by half time when they led 26-3.

Raiders are now fourth from bottom of National 2 League East, with a trip to Sevenoaks, who they are level on points with, on Saturday to round out this year.

In tennis, Heather Watson went out in the semi final stages at the 26th AL Habtoor Tennis Challenge on Saturday.

She lost 7-6 (2), 3-6, 6-7 (5) to Arianne Hartono, but not before clawing her way back into the last set when facing three match points at 4-5 and 0-40 down.

Watson and fellow Brit Olivia Nicholls made the final of the doubles where they faced top seeds Timea Babos and Vera Zvonareva. They lost 1-6, 6-2, 7-10.
