Watson finds out who she will face in her fourth Olympics

Heather Watson will get to play in the mixed doubles competition in Paris after making the cut alongside her partner Joe Salisbury.

She was also already confirmed for the women’s doubles where she will play alongside Katie Boulter in what will be Watson’s fourth Olympic Games.

The tennis draw was made at Roland Garos earlier today.

Watson and Salisbury will play Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski and Félix Auger Aliassime.

Watson and Boulter will play Germany's Angelique Kerber and Laura Siegemund, with the number six seeds potentially lying in wait in round two should they win.

There is a strong entry list for the mixed, with 15 Top 10 players in either the singles or doubles scheduled to play.

Men's singles Tokyo 2020 gold medallist Alexander Zverev partners Laura Siegemund, while Olympic debutants Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz will represent USA.
