Alastair Chalmers has been enjoying the support he's receiving from family, friends, sponsors, coaches, and many others as he continues his Olympic journey.
The Guernseyman has a well earned 'day off' today before his Olympic 400m hurdles semi final tomorrow evening.
Chalmers won his place in the next round in dramatic fashion by diving over the line to secure third place in his heat yesterday.
For those entrants who did not secure their place in the semi finals directly through the heats, the Repechage Round was held at 11:00 today.
There were three heats in total with the first two in each heat progressing to the semi finals.
The final standings for the semi-final will be available HERE in due course.
There will be 24 competitors lining up in the semi finals from 18:35 (BST) tomorrow at the Stade de France, with Chalmers having to beat most of them to secure a place in the final which is due to be held on Friday 9 August at 20:45.
In the meantime, he has a rest day today.
He's being supported in Paris by his family, girlfriend, and others including supporters of Guernsey Athletics and his coach Matt Elias.
