The record books were rewritten last night as Matt Loaring became only the second GFC player to score 100 goals for the club, but Chertsey Town were not here as extras in his show.
Top of the table, Chertsey showed all their title credentials with a ruthless display where they rarely gave the men in green time on the ball as they ran out 6-2 winners.
The Curfews raced into a 3-0 lead with two goals from Gianluca Botti and another from Robins, before the Green Lions hauled themselves back into the game.
Ross Allen’s left foot got GFC on the scoreboard on 34 minutes, and then just after half time Loaring forced in a rebound from close range to register his 100th goal and give his side a firm foothold in the game.
It did not rattle Chertsey, who continued to create chances.
Ridgley curled one into the top right hand corner to stretch their lead, while their fifth came on 72 minutes when Chad Goulter got his head to a corner and the ball looped in.
Their sixth came when Oliver McCoy pounced on a misplaced backpass.
Next up is third-placed Leatherhead at Footes Lane on Saturday, kick off is at 14:00.
