Ross Allen’s late winner gave Guernsey FC their first home win since the start of the year.
It was a patched up side that faced Hanworth Villa at Footes Lane and came away with the 2-1 success.
Fin Patterson, only 16, marked his full debut with an early goal, picking up a selfless pass from Simon Arnold and guiding the ball into the far corner.
Both sides had their chances as the clock ticked on, but it was the visitors who brought things level with just over 10 minutes left.
Sam Merson, son of former Arsenal star Paul and no stranger to scoring at the Lane, curled a free-kick into the top left corner.
Allen blazed one over from close range on 83 minutes, but soon made amends.
Another debutant Frazer Maginnis picked out Guernsey’s Number 10 on the edge of the box. He avoided two defenders and hit a low shot into the corner of the goal.
The result moves the Green Lions up one spot to 20th in Isthmian South Central, although they remain in the relegation zone.
