Jersey will be led by a new manager by the time the next senior men's Muratti comes around.
Elliott Powell will step down after next month’s U21 Ambassadeur Bowl clash between the two islands to concentrate on his role leading Jersey Bulls.
Powell took over as interim Jersey manager in 2023, leading the side to Island Games gold.
Having subsequently been confirmed in the job on a permanent basis, he oversaw a 3-2 win in the Muratti at Springfield in May.
Guernsey have not won the senior clash since 2017, and will be looking to turn that around in the new surroundings of Victoria Park stadium in 2025.
"Ultimately circumstances have dictated this decision and whilst wholeheartedly supporting the Association's move to combine both Senior and U21 positions, I unfortunately cannot provide the commitment or dedication that such a prestigious role demands," said Powell.
"The Island Games triumph, followed by a dramatic Muratti win are memories that I will cherish forever, and I will be supporting the new management team from the stands as they look to defend both in 2025."
Powell's coaching team will also all step down from their Jersey FA positions to pave the way for a new regime.
Recruitment for the combined dual role of Jersey FA men's representative manager and Jersey FA Under-21s manager has already begun.
The Under-21 Muratti (Ambassadeur Bowl) will be played at Springfield Stadium on Sunday 10 November with a 1pm kick off.
Guernsey won the last U21 clash 2-1.
