Sports management agency Sixteen93 are visiting Jersey next month to host a USA Soccer Scholarship evening.

The evening will provide an opportunity for any 15-19 year old male footballers that live in the Channel Islands to attend with their parents and get a full understanding of the opportunities that being a student-athlete in the USA has to offer.

“This is a really exciting opportunity for young Jersey and Guernsey footballers to learn more about how they can pursue their dreams of playing sport, whilst simultaneously working towards their further education,” said Sixteen93 director Kristian Moore-Cowell.

“The Channel Islands have a great reputation for nurturing young sporting talent and this visit is a testament to the dedication of islanders in honing their talent in their chosen sport. We are looking forward to meeting with and discussing the opportunities available with islanders.”

During the evening, attendees will get to meet the team, showcase their talents on the pitch, and also get all the relevant information about USA Soccer scholarships.

College sports in the USA form part of a multi-billion dollar industry.

Many colleges and universities want to attract the best talent to their institution and therefore offer scholarships as financial aid to support their recruitment. The scholarships help cover the costs of a student-athlete’s tuition, room and board, and other expenses related to attending the institution.

The session will take place on Friday 1 November at Springfield Stadium from 17:45 until 21:00. Anyone interested in attending should contact Kristian@sixteen93.com.
