Guernsey will be represented at the World Darts Federation World Cup for the first time this week.

More than 50 nations will compete at the event, which is being held in Esbjerg, Denmark.

Lee Savident, Chris Hamon, Kyle Hutchinson and the in-form Keiran Queripel will be toeing the oche in the Men's events. 

In the Ladies section, Caroline La Touche, Debbie Hamon, Yvonne Le Gallic and Tracy Ingrouille will be representing the Green Army, and hoping to replicate their performance in last year's Europe Cup, when Romania were beaten in the Group Stages.

Action begins tomorrow.

In the ladies singles knock out, La Touche faces Darlene Van Sleeuwan, Hamon and Ingrouille have byes and Le Gallic plays Iolanda Riba.

While in the men’s pairs knock out opening round, Le Savident and Hutchinson team up to face R Snook and J MacMillan while Queripel and Hamon have a bye.

The women’s team round robin begins on Wednesday, as does the men’s singles.

In that competition’s opening round, Savident has been drawn against Odkhuu Khundaganai, Hamon against Daneil McDonald, Hutchinson has a bye, and Queripel plays Marcus Maier.
