Guernsey FC Women ran riot in Jersey on Sunday, scoring 20 goals across two games to finish the day as the only side in the Combination League with a 100% record intact.
They opened up Sunday’s double header against Sports Club of Jersey with a 12-1 win.
GFC fell behind on 12 minutes, but were soon level through captain Candice Bougourd and from then on were untroubled.
Elise Le Lacheur doubled their tally on 23 minutes, before Bougourd got her second from the spot having won the penalty.
The fourth came just before half time from Mollie Watson, whose lob was her first goal for the club.
They flew out the blocks in the second half with two goals in a minute, Gracia van Zutphen and Amy Dallamore provided the finishes.
Le Lacheur got her second on 62 minutes, picking up the pieces after the goalkeeper kept out Dinna Gallienne’s freekick.
An own goal was next before the introduction of Calliegh Hedley saw a rapid fire hattrick.
The first came after she intercepted a free kick, the second when she put away the rebound after the goalkeeper saved her initial effort, the third after getting in behind the defence again. It all took six minutes.
Donna Gallienne finished the goal scoring on 90 minutes, in a match where the Green Lionesses took a couple of players off for the final 10 minutes to even things out.
The Green Lionesses then faced the only other unbeaten side in the league, Rozel Rovers, and came away with an 8-2 win.
Bougourd opened the scoring with a first time strike from the edge of the box on eight minutes, putting on the captain’s armband again she showed few signs of tiredness.
Four minutes later Rozel Rovers were level when Charley Skinner scored after latching on to a through ball.
GFC responded.
Hedley struck a flick on into the far corner on 19 minutes, before their third came when Adrienne Leech tapped in and it was four before 30 minutes was up with another goal from Hadley.
Hadley then completed her second hattrick of the day with a great strike from 30 yards out.
Rozel were down but not out, and Emily Le Page scored just before halftime from the penalty spot - the ball rattling the crossbar before crossing the line.
But the second half was all GFC.
Aimee Ogier hit a volley home on 52 minutes and then substitute Chloe Ingrouille showed some fast footwork to beat challenges on the edge of the box before firing the ball under the goalkeeper.
Their 20th goal of the day came in injury time with Amy Dallamore intercepting a clearance and finding the corner with a first time shot.
The Green Lionesses are six points clear at the top of the JFA Combination, having played one game more than Rozel and St Peter.
They are next in league action on 15 December against St Peter.
