From first time visitors to experienced course record holders, the GU36 challenged them all.
The annual ultra sees runners tackle the south coast cliffs before heading up the trails, roads and headlands of the west coast, round the north and then back down the east coast to touch the Liberation Day Monument to finish.
This year's event also turned the heat up at different parts of the day too, with the sunshine sapping the energy levels, while 12 of those taking part were also competing in the Five Islands Ultra and already had three stages in their legs with the prospect of a loop around Jersey to come.

Erwee was managing his pace, he came off the cliffs some 19 minutes slower than during his record setting run last year when he eventually clocked 4:06.10.
