Winter sunshine dazzled the field of nearly 150 runners during the Delancey cross country, with seniors racing over either four or three miles depending on ability.

Some smiled.

The Under 13s, led home by Emil Freidrich just two seconds ahead of Max Roger, competed over two miles.

In the men’s race, Dawes crossed the line in 21.30, with Ethan Woodhead (22.12) pulling clear of James Priest (22.25) to fill the podium spots.

Nix Petit (26.09) was the first woman home, with Lindsay Sword ( 29.05) second and Amy Critchlow (29.21) third.

James Stafford-Bell was the quickest over the three lap, three mile race. The U15 crossing the line in 18.26. Darcey Hodgson (U17, 20.16) was the leading female over the distance and third overall.
