Football: Adams’ future secured with Wigan, Ap Sion signs pro deal with Bristol

Joe Adams has been confirmed as part of Wigan Athletic’s first team squad for next season.

The club released its retained list after finishing the Sky Bet League One campaign in 12th.

Adams has been out on loan at League Two Morecambe since January where he played 21 games, starting 17, and scoring twice.

Five first team players will depart Wigan this summer, including captain Josh Magennis.

Championship side Bristol City announced that 10 Academy Graduates, including Guernsey’s Tim Ap Sion, have signed professional deals.

Ap Sion joined City in May 2022 from Guernsey FC.
