Early bird registration has opened for next year's EY Easter Running Festival - with the four events taking place between Friday 18 and Monday 21 April, 2025.

The first event will be the 5k road race from L'eree to Vazon on Good Friday, with the full course cross country at L'ancresse on the Saturday.

The 4x1mile relay race returns to Delancey Park on Easter Sunday, with a 10k road race from Grandes Rocques to Northside closing the Festival on Easter Monday.

Among those already planning to enter is EY Partner, Ove Svejstrup.

“The EY Easter Running Festival is such a fantastic event for everyone to enjoy," he said. "Whether you’re new to running and want a new challenge to train for in the new year, a seasoned runner aiming for a personal best, or supporting family or friends taking part, it’s a great opportunity to get outside over the Easter weekend.

"We’re proud to continue our sponsorship of an event that positively impacts the health and wellbeing of so many within our local community.”

Chris Gillman, Endurance Director at Guernsey Athletics Club, said the Easter weekend always brings a large field of entrants including both local and visiting runners.

“The EY Easter Festival is always a highlight of our running calendar, because it’s such a unique way to enjoy everything Guernsey has to offer," he said. "Whether you know the island well or you’re visiting for the first time, the festival offers a truly welcoming atmosphere. The camaraderie is always special.

“We’re striving to make the event as accessible and inclusive as possible. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a complete newcomer, all ages and abilities are welcome to join us.

“We’re particularly keen to grow our field of wheelchair athletes this year in the 5k and 10k races. In the past, people have had to come prepared with their own racing chairs, but this is no longer a barrier as the club now has two of these available for people to use, should they be required.”

Online registration is open now at the Guernsey Athletics Club's website and will close strictly at 17:00 on Sunday, 13 April.

By signing up before 31 December, 'early bird' runners will pay slightly less than those who commit to taking part closer to the time.
