Players from Guernsey have been invited to take part in the European Cricket Liberation Series to be staged in Jersey.
A mens T10 tournament will take place between the 5 and 9 May, while a women’s one will follow on the 10 and 11 May.
For the men, there will be four Jersey and one Guernsey "franchise" teams.
For the women's tournament, Jersey Cricket has invited Guernsey to send across three or four players to take part alongside the Jersey teams.
"We're delighted to welcome European Cricket to our shores in 2025," said Jersey Cricket's Head of Cricket Operations Lee Meloy.
"Having consulted with our local clubs, we are taking the opportunity for a fresh and modern approach by running a 'franchise' style tournament in which players will be drafted into teams.
"It will bring something new to the domestic cricket calendar and provide local players with the opportunity to take the field and compete against club mates who they would play with week in week out. The registration process will be open to all local players.
"With the men's games played throughout the week on two bank holidays and the women's games over a weekend, we hope to see plenty of cricket fans come into Grainville to watch."
As part of the European Cricket Network, the tournament will be livestreamed over YouTube with a full production including commentary and interviews.
