Athletes strength and toughness to be tested to their limits as Guernsey’s Strongest returns

Wednesday 11 September 2024

Guernsey’s Strongest is back to test strength, agility, and mental toughness on Saturday.

The event will be held on the Cambridge Berth, behind the White Rock, from 09:30.

Weight categories are out this year as the organisers instead follow the trend of using novice, masters, inters, and open categories.

There will be five events.

Competition will begin with a tyre deadlift, before a truck pull, then a press, carry and drag medley. The fourth event is rolling thunder and the fifth power stairs.

Rob Frampton, who has competed in the past on the world stage, and England's strongest woman Katie Smith will be the judges.

There are 32 men and women signed up to take part.
