All Terrain Challenge hits the track

Competition is hotting up after three stages of the Deloitte All Terrain Challenge.

Having completed a town time trial on day one and tackled the 8km Icart Loop the cliffs on day two, 77 runners split into five divisions faced up to a leg burning series of 400m races yesterday.

George Mason has now established a 1 minute 32 second lead at the top of Division One ahead of Matt Jamieson with Ben Langlois a further 1 min 15 sec back.

It is tighter in the hunt for the women’s title, with Grace Smith just seven seconds ahead of Savannah Goddard.

As the friendly rivalries through the groups build through the week the challenge heads to Saumarez Park this evening with the first race at 18:15.
