Seb Priaulx and his team secured their strongest result of the season so far as they took to the track in a striking new car.
The usual green “Rexy” dino livery was swapped for a powerful pink alternative in this year’s Michelin GT Challenge at Virginia International Raceway.
Racing in the GTD class, Priaulx and his teammate PJ Hyett debuted “Roxy” – AO Racing’s Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr, while their usual car was at the Six Hours of Fuji.
This was the tenth event of the 2023 Weathertech SportsCar Championship schedule and saw the team secure their strongest to date.
Not only did the duo finish in sixth, but they also received a Bronze class win to recognise their performance throughout the 2hr 40 race.
“Going into the race, we knew it was going to be a tough one but we gave it our all,” said Priaulx.
“PJ had a strong first stint which put us in good stead for the second part of the race, coupled up with some great pit stops by our crew. We had the fastest Porsche out on the track so we’re really proud of that.
“This was Roxy’s first time with the fans so she got a lot of love – she’s easy to spot wherever you watch the race from. A big thank you to the AO Racing team for an awesome few days.”
Next up for Priaulx and the AO Racing team is Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday 17 September.
This won’t be Priaulx’s first time at the world-famous track after he became the Porsche Carrera Cup North American Champion in 2021 with Kelly Moss Racing.
