The search continued today for the aircraft, pilot and passenger of a light aircraft which disappeared on Monday night.
This afternoon, Guernsey's Harbourmaster, Captain Dave Barker, explained the priorities of the investigation and revealed they had responded to debris as far away as the Bay of Biscay but he said nothing of relevance has yet been found.
There had been speculation as to the identity of the pilot who was still unnamed two days after the incident.
It has now been revealed that the missing man is a 60-year old father of three called Dave Ibbotson - information which could not be revealed until the family had been notified. Watch the full video below.
