The spirit of Christmas will return to St Saviour's next month, as Winter Wonderland heads into its 24th year.
While the majority of seasonal events across the UK have been axed this year due to covid-19 restrictions, Guernsey's celebrations are still planned to go ahead with support from Specsavers, the Lions Club and Cancer Research UK.
The popular annual event is expected to attract thousands of visitors between 18:00 and 20:30 on Wednesday 2 December.
"We are once again very excited to be working with Specsavers to help organise Winter Wonderland," said past President of the Lions Club of Guernsey, Rob Holder. "The event not only signals the start of Christmas for many islanders but also raises essential funds for those in need at this time of year."
All money raised at the event will be split evenly between the Lions Club and Cancer Research UK.

"This is a wonderful festive experience for families to enjoy, while also supporting our funded research to ensure we will beat cancer," added Chair of the Cancer Research UK Guernsey branch, Bryan Lean.
A variety of stalls will be set up in a Christmas-themed marquee, including hot food and drinks, popcorn, toffee apples, mince pies, a bottle stall and glowing bands for children.
Last year's Christmas Elf Door Trail will also be making a return.
Specsavers will once again be offering free buses from its carpark, however those who are able to do so are being encouraged to walk to the event from there. This year there'll be some extra lighting along the route, which takes about ten minutes to walk.
To help ease congestion, particularly around La Villiaze, Guernsey Airport has agreed to allow members of the public to use its carpark too.

"Guernsey Ports are proud to support this community event, which raises money for good causes," said Head of Passenger Operations & Aviation Security, Steve Langlois.
"Due to the downturn in travel caused by the covid-19 pandemic, we are in a position this year to make one of our airport carparks available for the event. Anyone who is parking at Guernsey Airport should follow the signage and directions of event staff."
The event is also being supported by Guernsey Electricity, which will be helping to power all of the lights throughout the evening.
"We know it has been an exceptionally tough year for everyone but we hope this year's event will bring some much-needed enjoyment and magic to the island community," said Dame Mary Perkins of Specsavers.
"We are looking forward to adding some extra Christmas sparkle which we hope will be enjoyed by many islanders, young and old."

People are being advised to bring a torch and car share where possible.
Hand sanitisers will be available on entrance at the gate.
Tickets are priced at £6 per adult and £2 for children aged three to 12.

The Winter Wonderland will reopen on Monday 7 December specifically for those living with autism and their families.
