Vaccinations moved to reduce non-essential visits to hospital

Thursday 04 February 2021

HSC is taking urgent measures to move health and care workers' second doses of a covid vaccine to Beau Sejour in order to minimise non-essential visits to the hospital.

Some 1,000 frontline workers across HSC and a number of health and care institutions, including the Medical Specialist Group, GP surgeries, pharmacies and St John Ambulance are due to have their second vaccine appointment between Friday 5 and Sunday 14 February.

These had previously been arranged to take place in the Emma Ferbrache Room at the PEH but all will now take place at Beau Sejour.

"[This is] due to the need to minimise non-essential visits to the hospital and to ensure adequate social distancing," said HSC.

The date and time of appointments remain the same. Health and care workers attending Beau Sejour for their second dose vaccination appointment should enter via the main entrance and tell the welcome staff that they are there for the Healthcare Clinic, as they will be directed to a separate reception desk.

If a health and care worker is unable to make their scheduled appointment, or has forgotten their appointment time, they should email covidvaccine@gov.gg, giving personal details, contact details, appointment time (if known) and the vaccine they are due to receive.
