The number of people out of work in Guernsey has fallen to its lowest level for 14 years, with just 239 people actively seeking employment at the end of this summer.
The number at the end of August was six lower than at the end of July, and marked the lowest overall unemployment rate in Guernsey since June 2008.
Additionally to those classed as unemployed, the number of people in work and claiming supplementary financial support from the States was also down.
286 people came under that category at the end of last month, down 12 from the month before.
The number of new claims for employment and income-related benefits also fell over the summer months, with 22 new claims made during August, compared with 35 in July.
Of the support systems available from Social Security for people looking for work, or to get back into work, the Job Centre runs a number of training schemes and placements.
At the end of August there were 46 people on training schemes such as Work to Benefit, Kickstart and placements with the third sector.

The Covid pandemic caused the number of people out of work to more than treble during the first lockdown, between March and June 2020.
At the end of March 2020, data provided by the States showed 497 people were considered out of work - that had risen to 1,681 by the end of May that same year.
That figure represented the highest unemployment rate in the Bailiwick since 1983, when 1014 people had been actively seeking work.
Post-covid, the number of people out of work has continually decreased. It was down to below 300 people by the beginning of Spring this year.
