Islanders over the age of 65 have an extra two months to apply for the new concessionary bus pass, after the number of applicants resulted in the CT Plus shop becoming "very busy during certain times of the day".
The passes were introduced on 22 September to standardise the ID presented to bus drivers by those who are entitled to free bus travel.
They will be scanned when passengers board in the same way that Puffin Passes are.
Over 3,000 applications have been made since the scheme was launched, and they can typically be processed while the passenger waits at the CT Plus kiosk near the Bus Terminus.

Driver & Vehicle Licensing has pushed back the date on which the passes become mandatory to 1 January 2021 in light of how busy the kiosk has been.
Anyone over 65 who is ordinarily resident in Guernsey, Alderney or Herm is eligible to apply for a pass, which cost £2.50 and can be used immediately. Once purchased, they will not need to pay again when they use the bus.
Applicants need a form of ID which displays their age in order to apply, as well as a passport-sized photo to protect the card from fraud or misuse.
Alternative arrangements can be made for applicants who have difficulties attending the shop in person by contacting the CT Plus customer care team on 700456.
