States Works is "taking seriously" reports that one of its refuse collectors hit vehicles with food waste caddies while "throwing" them back into people's gardens.
CCTV footage has been shared which appears to show a bin man throwing the caddies back carelessly after emptying their loads into a waste disposal truck.

St Sampson's resident James Larbalestier shared the footage on social media after being woken up by the sound of caddies being thrown further down his road.
"I have spoken with the relevant people and they are handling it as required. I'd just like to see them have a little more respect for people's property, States property and the cars etc. around them," he said. "It doesn't take much to just put the bin down properly, rather than lobbing it back and not giving a damn what it hits.
Pictured: Mr Larbalestier said he continued to hear caddies being thrown back carelessly all the way down the road.
"I was woken by the sound of them being thrown further up the road, so had looked out of my window to check it wasn't kids kicking a car or something. I watched them emptying our bin, basically the bit in the video, and continue like this all the way down the road. I'm sure he's not intentionally breaking them or trying to hit cars, but he clearly just doesn't give even the slightest damn about the situation."
A spokesperson for States Works, which is the contractor for St Sampson's, said the matter was being looked into.
"States Works is aware of the video and are currently investigating the footage. States Works will be taking this seriously but would not be able to comment on disciplinary actions towards staff."
