Stanley Road burglary sees "unique" items stolen

Statues, coins and more were stolen during a burglary in St Peter Port late last week.

Guernsey Police says the "unique" items were all taken from a property on Stanley Road in the early hours of Tuesday 16 January.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, which is between St Stephen's Church and Route Isabelle, is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department on 222222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Guernsey police burglary

The items taken include two identical bronze whippet dog statues approx. 30cm in height, two Chinese seals, various Chinese fragrance bottles, and various Chinese jade and ivory coins.

Other items included two identical Bruce Russel silver Guernsey cream jugs approx. 10cm in height and two silver George III sugar sifters approximately 12cm in height.

Anyone who sees any items matching these descriptions should also contact police on 222222 or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
