Election candidates are being given advice by the States ahead of the nomination period opening next week - including some tips for what not to do when filming candidate videos.
The States is staging its final 'candidate information evening' this Wednesday, where prospective Deputies will have the opportunity to meet States representatives and ask questions about the electoral process.
These sessions are not open to the general public or media, however some of the guidelines for the electoral process have also been published online.
The States is producing a combined manifesto and three-minute videos, which will be available online, while candidates are able to spend up to £6,000 of their own money privately to promote their campaign.

The four-day nomination period opens on Tuesday 1 September and closes the following Friday. Candidates will also have to finalise their manifesto and make arrangements for video filming by the same date.
These videos will be filmed between Saturday 5 September and Tuesday 8.
"When you come in we will talk you through how it works and give you a chance to do a practice run," the guidance states. "You will be in front of a ‘green screen’ so we can add a graphic in behind you in editing. You can stand or sit. If possible we would recommend standing.
"When recording, keep it simple, it’s a good idea not to go into lots of detail or facts as these are hard to remember and say. Your written manifesto can include the details. The video is your opportunity to introduce yourself and for the voters to get an overview of what your views are and why you are standing."

This information has been published with a list of 'tips', which include:
Avoid reading from a piece of paper
Speak slowly, slower than you would normally
Introduce yourself and explain why you are standing, what you hope to achieve
Avoid clothes with lots of pattern as these can make the image distort
Avoid green clothes
These videos will be published for voters to view on 16 September and there will be an opportunity to 'Meet the Candidates' on 20 September, according to the current timetable.
