Sailings delayed so crews can rest

Monday 29 July 2019

Condor Ferries Channel Island services are running behind schedule again today, but this time it's so the ferry firm can ensure staff are well rested before setting sail.

Following the technical difficulties experienced by the Condor Liberation last week, some sailings up to and including over the weekend were running at delayed times.

That is continuing today, but the ferry firm says its because rest times have been scheduled for staff.

In a statement posted on the Condor website, the transport operator said:

"As a result of the expected departure time from Guernsey on Saturday 27th July, service Monday 29th July will be delayed in order for our crews to have sufficient rest."
