Passengers "unhurt" after aircraft suffers tyre burst

Passengers were unscathed after a private light aircraft had a tyre burst on landing at Guernsey Airport.

The runway had to be closed shortly on Wednesday morning, causing some delays to other flights while the aircraft was recovered.

The spokesman for Guernsey Airport said at the time: “All on board were unhurt, but the runway will be unavailable for around 30 minutes to allow the aircraft to be recovered. Normal flight operations should be restored shortly.”
