Runners to get colourful for charity

Sunday 14 April 2019

Registration is now open for a charity Colour Fun Run in Guernsey.

The event has been organised by Specsavers and will raise money for Les Bourgs Hospice and Guernsey Mind.

Runners can take part in either a 5km or 1km route around the grounds of the company's support office at La Villiaze while being showered with colourful powder.

"After the success of our Colour Fun Run two years ago, when we raised more than £8,000 for charity, we were very keen to run this event again," said Specsavers Director of Group Services Nick James. "It's an event which brings everyone together, helps you stay active and involved throwing a lot of coloured powder at each other.

"We hope as many people as possible get involved so we can raise as much money as we can for two very worthy causes."

The event will take place on Sunday 19 May and is open to families and individuals of all ages and abilities.

Registration will open at 10:00 with a warm up and group colour throw before the run begins at 11:00.

Participants will also be able to enjoy food, drinks and market stalls throughout the day as well as face-painting and a bouncy castle.

Individual or family tickets are now available to buy here. The ticket prices include a pack of coloured powder, an event t-shirt and a medal at the finish line. Extra powder can be purchased on the day.
