Multiple agencies have issued warnings of roadwork across the island again this week, with planned works near the Halfway expected to cause severe congestion.
The roadworks at St Clair Hill and Vale Road and around the Halfway junction are due to start on Thursday and continue until 21 December.
The States, the Traffic and Highways Services team, and active travel campaigners have all highlighted the likely congestion with diversions and advice for cyclists offered.
The areas affected are pictured above. It shows where several utilities will be working on different projects, at the same time. The hope is that will reduce the overall duration of the road closures in the area.
Motorists are asked to "consider allowing more time for their journey if they have to travel through the affected areas".
Cyclists and pedestrians will be allowed to pass through the closed roads but are advised to take extra care.
Environment and Infrastructure Minister, Deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez also encouraged people to use buses where they are able to.
Here you go.

People might not be able to catch the bus from their usual stop but it may still be more convenient than driving. Also, the congestion when roads are up is very much exacerbated by low-occupancy car use, so using buses etc really helps reduce impacts for everyone. pic.twitter.com/Ib8dnQ8dcq
Up to twelve separate teams will be working in the Halfway area during the closures, with works for Sure, Guernsey Water, Guernsey Electricity and Guernsey Energy (formerly known as Guernsey Gas) all planned.
Ronez will do some remedial road surface repairs in St Clair Hill, while Sure will also have teams working at the Halfway, within Vale Road, St Clair Hill and Rue des Pointues Rocques as part of the fibre roll out.
In order for the contractors to work safely in the works area outside the former Halfway Café, the northbound slip lane from Les Banques into Vale Road will be closed to traffic. Changes will be made at the junction to enable vehicles to enter Vale Road via the filter junction at the Halfway.
Vehicles from the Braye Road area heading towards town will be diverted via the Bridge and Bulwer Avenue for the duration of the works.
Other road works planned for this week include at Kings Mills (Castel), the Rohais du Bas (St Andrews), La Route des Coutures (St Martins), Rue Sauvage (St Sampson), Rue des Grons (St Saviours), Route des Pleinmont (Torteval), and Lowlands Road (Vale).
In St Peter Port numerous roads are closed or restricted including the Guelles Road and Maurepas junction, La Vrangue Hill, Les Oberlands, and Route Isabelle.
A THS spokesperson again reiterated that cyclists are able to work through many road closures but they need to take care and adhere to all signage.
"With the exception of the resurfacing, road repairs and works involving tree surgery, crane operations or Special Events, all other closures enable cyclists to ride through the road closure up to the commencement of works area. Cyclists are reminded to comply with any signs requiring them to dismount for their own safety and that of the workforce in the carriageway. Pedestrians are able to pass though all of the traffic management areas detailed above."
