Part of the coast road near Perelle will close this morning while road stud lights are installed around a sharp bend in the road.
La Catioroc will be closed between 09:00 and 14:00.
A number of concerns had been raised about the safety of the corner, which was the site of a fatal crash in July 2017.
Active road studs have already been installed along La Neuve Rue at Albecq and Route de la Lague / Route de Rocquaine at Fort Grey to help road users feel safe, particularly at night when visibility is known to be restricted.

Although they look similar to 'cats eyes', Traffic and Highway Services' active road studs use built in ultra-bright LEDs as well as reflecting light back from headlights. This helps make the lights visible to all road users, including pedestrians and cyclists, while providing a clear view up to ten times further than 'cats eyes'-style lights.
The built-in LEDs are powered by solar energy and turn on and off automatically in response to differences in light.
As a result of today's works, anyone driving between Perelle and L'Eree will be diverted via Le Felconte in both directions. Meanwhile Perelle Butchers will be accessible from the Perelle end and you can get to the Lihou headland from the L'Eree end.
Bus-users are advised to check for any changes to their routes.
