Record fair returns to boost VEF funds

Sunday 03 June 2018

The headline act for the 2018 Vale Earth Fair has been announced, ahead of a fundraising record fayre supporting the event today.

"Reggae legend" Horace Andy is set to close the long running music festival at the end of August with support from local acts including Tantale and Honest Crooks.

The VEF Collective, who organise the event, said "anyone who’s a fan of reggae music will know all about Horace Andy, but his musical pedigree stretches far beyond that."

Horace Andy is a Jamaican singer-songwriter known as "the sweetest voice in reggae." He has had a long association with the British trip-hop band Massive Attack and has worked in the music industry since the early 1970s.

It is being held at the Second Guernsey Scout Group HQ, Rue de Haut, Vale (Perry’s ref. 9E4), with live music, food and refreshments also on offer.

There will be various genres of music on sale as well as collectibles between 10:00 and 16:00.
