A march, organised to protest about the two-school model of secondary education is due to be held today.
The organisers are hoping that lots of people will turn up to show their support for the protest, which aims to force the States to overturn the decision made just weeks ago.
Concerned mum Hayley Correia organised the march after discussing her fears with other worried parents.
She said she is worried about the future of education in Guernsey: "We are angered and upset that 26 States members decided to vote against the people of Guernsey and funded a breakaway group in order to undermine Education's three School proposition."
Ms Correia told Express the main aim of the protest is to overturn the decision.
A Facebook group was set up for people to find out more information and to gauge the level of support ahead of today's event, which starts at 2pm from Salerie Corner.
Ms Correia said: "Its difficult to gauge support having never been involved in a protest before but I would say word of mouth and social media is the best way. We have a good team. With everything in Guernsey there is always opposition, but we are doing our best to iron out opposition as it arises where possible.
"We do hope we will get support today particularly from the deputies who wanted the three school model but also welcome the other deputies. All deputies have been emailed by a fellow organiser."
