P&R to host public drop-in session

Friday 04 December 2020

Islanders will be able to grill some of Guernsey's senior politicians at an upcoming drop-in session with the Policy & Resources Committee.

The committee is responsible for the leadership and coordination of the work of the States, including promoting policy objectives and leading the policy planning process.

All five members of the Committee, including Chief Minister Peter Ferbrache, will be available for questions and discussions in a public drop-in session.

"As we begin a new political term, we want to give members of the community as many opportunities as possible to engage with us and share their views," said Deputy Chief Minister Heidi Soulsby.

"This is a new and informal setup for people to come and meet their deputies, and take time to talk. If we see a good turnout, I'm hopeful it will be the first of many such events we'll hold this term."

The drop-in session will take place on Saturday 12 December in the Visitor Information Centre in the North Esplanade between 10:00 and 12:00.

"As we are in the lead up to Christmas we wanted to hold the event somewhere convenient where you can drop-in for a warm drink and a mince pie while in Town for your Christmas shopping," said Deputy Soulsby.

"We'd like to invite people to pop in and have a chat."
