Potato Peel Pie excitement grows ahead of film premiere

Sunday 11 March 2018

Lottery tickets are still available to win seats at one of three Gala Screenings of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society film, when it is released next month.

The Arts Foundation Guernsey is offering the tickets as prizes to allow local residents to celebrate the big-screen adaptation of the best selling novel, ahead of and on its release in cinemas on April 20 2018.

The top prize is two tickets to the black-tie, red carpet Premiere film screening event on 12 April at Beau Sejour, including champagne and canapés before the show. The second prize will see 100 lucky winners receive a pair of tickets to the informal Premiere film screening on Friday 13 April with free popcorn and sweets, and the 65 third place winners will receive a pair of tickets for the opening night at the Mallard on 20 April.

The screenings have been organised by the Arts Foundation Guernsey on behalf of the Committee for Education, Sport & Culture and supported by the Guernsey Arts Commission, and will act as a fund raiser for the Arts Foundation Guernsey. The events and screenings have been made possible by grant funding from the States of Guernsey with sponsorship from Specsavers. The funds raised from the lottery sales will allow the Arts Foundation Guernsey to expand its support of local art and cultural activities in Guernsey.

You can buy the Lottery tickets now from the Guernsey Information Centre. Winners will be selected on 29 March, and winning numbers will be posted on the Arts Foundation Guernsey’s Facebook page.

The film will be released in cinemas nationwide on the 20 April by STUDIOCANAL.
