A 13 year old cyclist has been involved in a road accident.

It happened around 07:40 on 15 March at La Vrangue.

Guernsey Police have said "a road traffic collision occurred between a 13-year-old cyclist, and a white and green van".

Both the cyclist and the van driver were heading from the direction of Mont Arrive towards The Post Office when the collision occurred.

The van driver has not yet been spoken with, and Guernsey Police are asking for them to come forward to help with their enquiries.

Police would also like to speak with any witnesses who were in the area at the time, who may have dash cam footage from their own vehicles of the incident 

The police spokesperson said: "Police would like to speak with the driver of the van."

"If you have any information regarding this incident or have dash camera footage that may have captured the incident you are asked to contact PC 174 Potter on 222 222 or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
