Bailiwick Law Enforcement are appealing for witnesses following excrement being left on the doorstep of the President of the Development & Planning Authority last week.
Deputy Victoria Oliver said the incident occurred following “a difficult long day” during which controversial plans to build a housing development at Pointes Rocques were approved.
A spokesperson from Guernsey Police issued the appeal: ““This incident currently remains under investigation. Officers would ask that anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or who may have any information about who was involved, get in touch. They can also report the information they have anonymously through Crimestoppers.”

Speaking about the incident last week, Deputy Oliver said the perpetrator had “crossed the line”.
“Every time we have an Open Planning Meeting we have the challenging task of weighing up the opinion of all stakeholders to the applications in their entirety and within the scope of the law,” said Deputy Oliver.
“I, like every other human, do not like all the negative comments and people being rude especially knowing my family are also potentially reading it, but understand that emotions run high and they are just words.
“However, someone crossed the line yesterday by coming to our family home, fortunately while our three young children were out and left excrement on my doorstep just because I, and my colleagues, made a decision this person didn’t agree with.”
The actions were damned by Guernsey’s leading politician, Deputy Peter Ferbrache, who labelled the cuplrits “vile scum”.
