A parent teacher association of a different kind has raised money for playground equipment at Sark School through a gruelling running challenge.
Head Teacher Dr Nicholas Roberts and Adam Turner took on a 4x4x48 challenge, running four miles every four hours for 48 hours.
In total, both of them set themselves the challenge of running 48 miles each within two days.
The self-described "unfit, middle-aged blokes" were hoping to raise £1,250 and have broken through that target, raising almost £1,800.
That money is being raised for the Friends of Sark School, who will use it to improve the quality of the play equipment available.

Donations are still welcome ONLINE.
“Sark is an incredible island, and Sark School is an incredible school,” said Dr Roberts.
“All we want to do is raise as much money as we can for a great cause, especially since I’m leaving Sark School to return to the UK soon,” he said.
