The Bailiff spoke for the island this afternoon as he wished Her Majesty The Queen well after her doctors said they were concerned for her health.
Buckingham Palace announced that the 96-year-old monarch was under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Other senior members of The Royal Family, including The Queen's children and Princes William and Harry, are at Balmoral or travelling there.
Speaking in the States' Assembly at around 14:30, Richard McMahon: "Members will have heard about the recent announcement from the Palace concerning Her Majesty.
"I am confident that I speak on behalf of all members of this Assembly as well as His Excellency and indeed all the people of the Bailiwick in sending our very best wishes to Her Majesty The Queen at this time. And to say that she and all of the Royal Family are in our thoughts and prayers at this moment."
Shortly after, the States released the following message: "With news being reported today about the health of Her Majesty, the Bailiff has this afternoon extended the very best wishes to her and The Royal Family, on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor, the Chief Minister, the States of Deliberation and the people of the Bailiwick."

The Queen has experienced several periods of ill health over the past year.
She received the outgoing and incoming Prime Ministers at Balmoral on Tuesday. It was her first public engagement in weeks. She looked frail and walked with a stick.
She then pulled out of a virtual Privy Council meeting yesterday when doctors ordered her to rest.
On 6 February this year - when she was 95 years and 291 days - The Queen became the first British monarch to reign for 70 years and she celebrated her Platinum Jubilee with events across the Commonwealth.
