One week to change directory details

Wednesday 08 July 2020

People have one week to inform Sure of their details if they want to appear in the 2020/21 telephone directory.

Following issues with the 2019/2020 directory, the telecoms company said it has "contacted all customers who have not previously asked to be excluded from the directory" and are due to have their details printed in the 2020/21 edition.

The letter or email sent to customers informs them that they are due to be included in the White Pages – which lists the name, address and phone number.

Sure's Chief Consumer Officer Charlotte Dunsterville said customers need to inform Sure by Wednesday 15 July if they want to change the way their details appear - and that their details will appear in the directory if no action is taken between now and them.

“We realise that the directory is an important resource for the community so we’re asking customers to verify their details so that we publish the most accurate directory possible," she said.

This can be done at or by calling the company on 700700.

JT customers with a fixed landline service are advised to speak directly to the JT customer service team to confirm their preferences.

There has been a delay to the compilation of the 2020/21 directory, which has been attributed to the corona virus pandemic.

It is expected to be available to islanders in November 2020. Sure said it has  reviewed the directory layout and will be increasing the font size to make the entries easier to read.
